If you are interested in a stud service, be prepared to bring your female over between days 10 and 17 of her heat cycle. My studs never leave my home, no exceptions. Although I prefer that you leave her with me for a few days, I completely understand if you wish to take her home in between breedings. Depending on how my stud reacts to the female and how long it takes him to tie will determine if she should be left with me or not. Should you decide to leave her, I assure you she will not be kenneled. By kenneled, I mean she will not be left outside in a cage by herself. She will remain inside of the home and will be loved and cared for as I care for my own dogs. However, she will sleep in a crate at night and during times when I cannot watch her or will not be home.
The stud fee is $300. ALL MONIES ARE DUE AT THE TIME A TIE IS MADE. NO EXCEPTIONS. I will not accept payment at a later date or after the litter has been born and sold. Depending on the circumstance, pick of the litter may be an option, but it’s not often. I will breed my dogs to females of a different registry. After all, it’s the health of the puppies that matter and not the title.
The Dam must meet the following requirements:
1. If this will be the Dam’s first time, she must be no younger than 18 months old and no older than 4 years old.
2. The Dam must have had at least one heat cycle.
3. Proof of up to date vaccinations
4. Negative Brucillosis and Herpes testing (not necessary if this will be her first time).
5. The Dam must be in good physical condition and must meet the Shih Tzu standard.

Atlas was born March 25, 2009 and is AKC registered. He weighs 10 pounds and comes to me from Diane of Frilly Fido. He is my champion sired man with an incredible pedigree to match. He’s a gorgeous red and white that loves to cuddle and has such a rambunctious personality. Out of the whole pack, Atlas is the instigator and is always looking to start some trouble.
Atlas started out as a very picky stud. He seemed to only be attracted to my females and very few outside females. There was an instance where I had two females over at once and he was interested in one, but completely ignored the other. However, with time and more experience, he has grown to be attracted to any female in heat and has never failed to produce. He’s a very determined stud and quick to tie if the female is willing. His numbers are small for now, but with time, I believe Atlas will make a wonderful stud and will continue to produce gorgeous puppies.

Henry is my stunning solid red male, born and raised here at Shih Tzu Guru on July 21, 2010. He is AKC registered and comes from a long line of champions and a variety of colors including reds, golds, livers, and blues. Henry was a standout the moment he was born and I knew instantly he would be staying here with me and I have not regretted that decision. He has the warmest and sweetest personality. He loves to be held and cuddled, but also loves wrestling with the other dogs and starting chases.
